Personality:

Though he is well known for being a conniving, teasing bastard, these are habits he's picked up to hide his actual feelings and past. However, since recent events, this has become more normal for him. Still, he's very withdrawn, using the tricks and teasing to hide that from most people. He's more open to talking about his past now but he's still very tightlipped about most things, and will resort to his old mannerisms if he's prodded too much. There are only a couple people (Manuel(Sangre) and Jihu, respectively) who actually know what has made him this way.

Lately he's been much more friendly and content, so the darker side of him won't be seen unless someone breaches a sensitive topic.

Also, he doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. Whatsoever. Which, you know, is unfortunate considering his lover is a saptastic sap.

Relationships:

Manuel/Sangre - His closest companion and lover. It took him a long time to accept Manuel's feelings for him and even longer to return them, but now that he has, he as a person has grown. He can put his full trust in Manuel even if he tends to drive the poor Mexican up the wall more often than not.
Jihu - A very close friend as well, Jihu was the first person besides Sangre that he confided in about his past and the situation he was in. Mostly because Jihu figured most of it out, but once he did, Hong Se realized that he could trust the Japanese man to help him out of any tight situations there were. He still keeps in constant touch with Jihu and is currently trying to get the man to move into a bigger "more appropriate" apartment.
Maurus - Maurus was someone he had little to no contact with before the announcement to close Lanua Peccati. However, when the announcement was made, Maurus came and asked to stay. He agreed, and looks forward to getting to know him better.

History:

Where Hong Se is now is somewhere he never thought he would get to. His past was one he rarely speaks about, much less wants to remember.

Before he was born, there was a triad. His father was a member of this triad, and his mother was a lover of this triad's leader, a man by the name of Hui. His father, having fallen in love with his mother, decided to leave the triad, taking her with him, and for awhile they were safe from Hui's men and the triad. They waited a couple years, then decided to have a child: Hong Se. For a time, things went perfectly.

But when Hong Se was four, Hui made his move, because after all, you don't just leave the triad. His lover had been taken from him by one of his own men, and to Hui, that was the ultimate betrayal. So when the little family decided to take a vacation to America, they landed in the airport . . . and then Hui took their child. Hong Se was taken back to China and kept as Hui's personal toy.

Hui made sure that Hong Se would never have the chance to find his family. He made him forget his name, his age, everything about him. He called him Rouska, and he used the boy as a means to get money from wealthy businessmen, charging them hundreds of thousands of dollars just so that they could have their way with his body for an hour. There was one stipulation to this, however: none of the men were ever allowed to physically harm Hong Se. If they did so, they were mercilessly killed.

Hong Se himself was given drugs, both to numb his body so that his small form could handle what it was receiving and also to heighten his senses. For years he had no idea he was given these, and only found out during his first attempt to escape: as a punishment other than hurting him physically, the drugs were taken from him, letting him go through the beginnings of a withdrawal he had no idea he would have to go through.

He was Hui's prisoner until he was eighteen, when he finally built up the nerve to attempt a second escape while the man was off in Japan for a meeting. He crept off with all of the money that had been given to Hui for his body, running down the streets of China until he simply couldn't go anymore. For the next two days he was riddled with withdrawal from the abrupt cut off of the drugs, hiding in an alley. Once he was well enough, he moved on, and for the next year of his life, he hopped through dance clubs and bars, determined to stay hidden from the man he knew was looking for him. During this period he changed his looks as well in an attempt to stay hidden; he cut his hair off, dyed it red, and pierced his tongue.

Eventually he managed to get a hold of a fake ID and flew to Europe, where he “bought” (in actuality he seduced the former owner into giving it to him whoops) an old, rundown hotel and renovated it. The love hotel Lanua Peccati was then opened, using it as a way to hide, a way to find protection, and a way to help others to escape the fate that he was sure he was going to end up in. He adopted the name Master, not wanting to use the name Hui had given him for multiple reasons.

It was at Lanua that Hong Se met Sangre, the ex-fighter from Mexico whose own past had haunted him for far too long. His violence intrigued him and was the original reason he got so close to the other man. He thought that Sangre would be the person to get him to a place where Hui had never let him go, one where pain was very much a part. Pain was something Hong Se had never felt, and there had been such an absence of it that he had started to crave it. Sangre gave it to him, and for a long time, that was as far as their relationship had gone.

And then Sangre, who had been in the room to check on an injury, caught him in the middle of a nightmare, and the past began to spring up again. Hong Se used this as an opportunity to perhaps finally obtain a protector in case Hui eventually found him.

But Sangre, as romantic as he always had been, began to grow feelings for him. Hong Se, who had never really understood the concept of love before this point, had turned down a couple others before but for some reason didn't have the heart to do the same to the Mexican. During a trip to China, the Mexican unwittingly admitted his feelings for him, and after certain events that left them both mentally weary and physically injured (and a ring was involved) Hong Se agreed to try for him.

Hong Se never realized that what he felt was returning the other's love until after a series of events in which Hui caught him again and took the ring from him that had been a gift from Sangre. Sangre, with some help from Jihu, managed to kill Hui and rescue Hong Se, finally letting him be free from his past. Not long after this, he closed the hotel down, and now he is living with Sangre, now called Manuel, in a house not too far from where the hotel was.

Additional Information:

:bulletred: Once they have moved into the new house, he plans to open a wine shop to keep himself entertained. Chances are, he'll probably drink more wine than he sells. But that's alright considering he's got quite a bit of money he's never going to use.
:bulletred: He dyes his hair red on a regular basis. At first this was in the hopes of hiding from someone but now it's become a habit and a look he's not quite ready to give up.
:bulletred: He has a tongue piercing that he's extremely fond of and another one that is for Manuel's use only :'I
:bulletred: He has several scars: a rose carved into one thigh, the kanji for "Master" carved into the other; the Kanji for "Trap" carved over his chest (there are two scars crossing over this kanji meant to destroy it, but the kanji can still be read); a burn henna down the left side of his torso from a former tenant; and a "garden" carved into the majority of his back in order to hide a scar that was forcibly given.
:bulletred: He always wears a ring on a chain around his neck. It was a gift from Manuel and is probably the most precious thing he owns now.
